Evidence that the economic meltdown continues to impact life in the U.S. is everywhere. The school district for Cobb County, located on the northwest side of Atlanta where I live, is facing a $72 million deficit for the next fiscal year. Foreclosures are still battering the real estate market causing a further decline in property tax revenue, while at the same time costs are rising: health insurance, salary increases and rising pension payments.

I really enjoyed reading this newsletter. One of the many things I’m struck by, is the beautifully pure nature of apostolic leadership and the apostolic dimension and its stark contrast to the leadership in Babylon. Even if Presidents and Prime Ministers have good intentions towards their people, it is not enough, schisms and compromises will occur whether that’s in their public office or their ability to give attention to their family. Only a leader who is dead to themselves and is full of Christ can lead with such a pure heart and God given sight, for the benefit of others to come into maturity. How incredible and how safe to be part of a global company full of such people!

As I read this article, I too am struck by the awesome reality of the sovereignty of our God in the face of growing global crisis . It truly encourages an increasing sense of pursuit and desire to know this Sovereign God as his purposes unfold in the earth . I must say that I am truly grateful for the apostolic grace that is being imparted into our lives and enabling us to stand in a day of crisis.

This is really excellent! The reality is that the intent of Apostolic Ministry is NOT to build a personal profile for one’s self, but to establish a strong people, built as pillars of strength and power for accurate Representation in the midst of increasing darkness in the earth. It was also very strategic to see the two pastors-David and Raleigh- describing their pathway to connectivity to Apostolic grace. It reveals the hearts of both to us in very much the same way that Amasiah’s discovery of David brought definition as to who he was and correct placement in the architecture of God for his life, so it did in both their lives. True Apostolic ministry does not diminish one’s calling and identity from God, rather it defines and empowers us to fulfill our God ordained destiny in functional covenant and preordained relationships.

Apostolic wisdom always comes in handy in the seasons of crisis. When trouble hits home men are usually disoriented and destabilized. As Scott looks deep into this question of the global economic (and other) crisis and its implications upon life in 2012, there is a great need for a church that has developed a different kind of sight based not on the apparent but on the inevitable. Crisis demands elevated leadership. If the church will carry the day in the present crisis it must be led by a different kind of people; people who are given to sacrifice and total concern for the whole body of Christ. Just as in Ezekiel 22:30 God is looking for a certain kind of a corporate man (church) that can stand between Him and a collapsing world with a clear message of what is going on and what therefore needs to be done.
