After an intense year in 2010, we have entered 2011 with a bang in terms of more destabilizing and unexplainable occurrences. Floodwaters continue to surge in Australia and quite apart from the lives and homes directly affected, the worldwide steel industry will take a direct hit since this region of Australia provides 75% of the world’s coking coal, a necessary ingredient in steel manufacturing. This could have big ramifications for economic growth, or slowing down the growth, in China and beyond. Meanwhile, the U.S. has exceeded $14 trillion in debt, a number that required Congress to raise the ceiling on debt so that the country was not declared to be in default based on its own laws. It seems that crisis and turbulent events continue unabated, and we have to understand what the spiritual realities are behind these natural events. We have to be prophetic!

After watching this video, I felt God really unpacking even more on greater depth the issue of his GREATNESS…God’s greatness has always been taught to us in the past to manifest with or always associated with Good things in the eyes of man…So this really talks to me about the way I should be carrying myself in the crisis because within that crisis there’s still that Divine oversight…I’m also reminded about the heavy rain that came during days of Noah that it was able to separate between those that obeyed God and those that were just drifted along with circumstances of life without being aware of what God was doing… from now onwards, I require more sight from God.

After watching this video, one of the things it has done is that it really clarified my understanding of the times in which we live and what my response or posture should be. Beyond the crises of the earth and the media hype surrounding them, which in turn are prompting all kinds of reactions from different quarters of society, I am required to keep my eyes focused strongly on what God is doing ‘behind the scenes’. While Elijah the prophet and who he is may have been well known by only some people in his days, including King Ahab and those who were assigned to track him down and arrest him, the natural calamities and events that God brought to pass through him affected everybody and those things would have been widely known. That scenario resembles the current times. This session has clearly identified how I can keep my focus on what God is orchestrating in the earth today and that is through an understanding of His prophetic intents outlined in the scriptures as unraveled in this and other sessions.
